Many believe in the Pre-tribulation rapture mainly due to this scripture.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
But I believe they are wrong. Pre-tribulation rapture was a teaching that came about in the 1800’s. It was not taught by the apostles.
I believe the true meaning of that scripture is explained in Isaiah. 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. Truly I do not believe we are raptured, but instead God allows us to be killed to allow us to escape the evil to come.
I am sorry for those that believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, but I am certain it will not happen. Mathew 24:9 Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. Does this verse give you even the slightest hint that Yahshua’s followers would escape the Tribulation? No. Not if you believe Yahshua’s words.
Further more in Matthew 24:21: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened”. Why mention the elect if we will not be here?
Cleary Mathew says the rapture will occur at the end of the tribulation.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mark gives the same account in Mark 13:24-26
Luke verifies it to in chapter 21:25-27
Clearly the saints are gathered at the end of the tribulation not the beginning. I am sorry if I gave earlier indication that I believed in the rapture. But after much study I have come to believe that that teaching is wrong! The rapture will occur at Christ’s return at the end of the tribulation and not before. God bless and best wishes for all for what is coming.
