Rapture

I know I had said previously that I did not believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. But Just a few weeks ago I received the Holy Spirit, and now I believe we will be taken prior to the Tribulation. I have a lot of scripture to back up my belief. So check it out and make an informed decision. As I said earlier I was Post-Tribulation until after I received the Holy Spirit, now I am Pre-tribulation.

So here it is all the study I have done and what I believe shows a pre-tribulation rapture.

The Tribulation is Gods wrath: Rev 6:16
And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

The Church is not mentioned one time in Rev 4-19 while God pours out his wrath on earth. As we are not to encounter Gods wrath:

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

The Saints are returning with Jesus at the coming to the battle of Armageddon. See also Rev 19:14 How can it be post Tribulation when we are returning with him!!!

It is amazing that several times in the first 3 chapters of revelation we read “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Yet in Rev 13:9 We read “If any man have an ear, let him hear.” (the church is left out)

Rev 3:10 Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptationn, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev 2:22 (Speaking of Jezebel) Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultry with her into great tribulation (last half of tribulation is the Great Tribulation), except they repent of their deeds.(so if they repent they miss the tribulation?)

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. (after what? the church of course he was just speaking of)

2 Thessalonians speaks of a restrainer which I am fairly certain is the holy spirit. In order to take away the Holy Spirit the church must be taken away. As the holy spirit is in us.

2 Thes 2:
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

The Holy spirit must go away before Jesus returns. John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Thus Jesus and the Holy Spirit can not be here together? I am not sure about that, but if the Holy Spirit is the Restrainer we must go!

Dan 9:24 Daniel said Israel had 70 Weeks (or 490 Years) to reconcile with God. 69 of those weeks passed from the command to rebuild Jerusalem till the Messiah. The last week is the Tribulation a time for the Jews and its 7 jewish years of 360 days each! (its not about the Church)

Rev 7 mentions 144,000 Jews who recieve the seal of God
Rev 11 speaks of two Jewish witnesses
Rev 12 states the Jews should flee to the wilderness

Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. (Jacob’s trouble is about the Jews)

It seems fairly obvious that the tribulation is not about the church, its a time for Jews to reconcile with God as they never accepted Jesus as the Messiah.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The word mystery In the NT does not mean mysterious (as with the Eng. Word), but that which, being outside the range of unassisted natural apprehension, can be made known only by divine revelation, and is made known in a manner and at a time appointed by God. Mystery in the NT does not deal with the unknowable, but with what is imparted by revelation. The mystery of the New Testament has been described as an ‘open secret’; matters previously kept secret in God’s eternal purposes have now been or are being revealed (Eph. 3:3-5; 1 Cor. 2:7-8).

Twinkling of an eye is a Jewish idiom for sunset
The last trump is not of Revelation as this was written before John wrote revelation, but rather the last trump of the Feast of Trumpets.
no man knows the day or hour is a Jewish idiom for the Feast of trumpets.
The Feast of Trumpets is the next feast Jesus has to fulfill which will be completed at the Rapture

Thus Paul talking about the rapture and the entire church era, said I show you a mystery (an unreavealed secret.) That is why you wont find rapture teaching any where else in the bible, it was revealed to Paul! I think some scripture gives a hint of this truth but Paul makes it clear.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (we meet him in the clouds not here on earth as at the second coming)

2 Peter 2:18
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

In John  Jesus said he would return to get us a revealing of sorts of the Rapture
John 14:
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
(This comes before vs 11 where Jesus returns to the earth for the battle of Armageddon.)

A Jewish Marriage
Groom creates a covenant if he wants to marry a woman he offers her wine if she takes it she accepts
1 Corinthians 11:
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. Thus when we drink the wine of communion we accept the marriage to Jesus!

purchase price (mohar) Modeled on a property transaction in which the groom paid the bride’s father a bride price
Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
1 Corinthians 6:
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

The bride is set apart. Marriage consisted of two ceremonies that were marked by celebrations at two separate times, with an interval between. First came the betrothal [erusin]; and later, the wedding [nissuin]. At the betrothal the woman was legally married, although she still remained in her father’s house. She could not belong to another man unless she was divorced from her betrothed. When we accept Jesus we are seperated from the world we live in it but are not of it.

The groom departs to Fathers house to prepare a place for his bride.
John 14:
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The Groom makes a surprise return for his bride (Rapture)
Mathew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
1Thes4:
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Marriage supper
Mathew 22:
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. As I said earlier this happens before Jesus returns for the battle of Armageddon.

We are involved in a wedding with Jesus, scripture says we are the bride of Christ. He created the covenant when he set up the sacraments we drink the wine that is accepting the marriage proposal. He payed the purchase price by giving his life for us.When we accept him we are set apart from the rest of the world. Jesus has gone to heaven to prepare a place for us. God will send him at the Rapture to recieve us. Finally there will be the marriage supper in heaven.

Jude 14 King James Version (KJV)
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Christians are returning with Jesus to the earth 1 thes 3:13)

The Rapture is not a new thing it has happened several times in the past:
Enoch Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Elijah 2 Kings 2:2 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
Jesus Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Philip Acts 8:39 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Paul 2 Corinthians 12:
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
John Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Is it not possible that Gods timing is the same as creation? For scripture teaches 2 peter 3:8 that a 1,000 years is a day unto the Lord. So after 6,000 years (6 days) Christ is to return and we enter the 1,000 year millennium or the day of rest?

Well that’s all folks! I hope this makes it clear that there will be a Pre-tribulation rapture.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

These two scriptures alone seem to make it clear the rapture will occur before the tribulation!

The Holy Spirit put it on my heart to make this post, even though I had said previously I did not believe but now I do!!! God Bless!!!
